The DisplacedGuy.Com Actual Adsense Earnings Update 2012

Its been a while since I posted some actuals from  Adsense so I saved off an image of my Google Analytics to post. I won’t put much commentary as this site is a loser for making money via Adsense and it’s not worth the effort when other sites I’m working on are performing thousands of percent better in RPM.  This site gets one advertisement click per 1,000 visitors or worse which doesn’t even pay for hosting.

As you can see I put a timeline in the graphic and color coded the area where I put in Low, Medium or High amounts of effort into the site, because I wanted to point out that the site performance (at least traffic anyway) is pretty much directly related to the effort you put into the blog, in writing new articles and good content creation.

If you let the site go stagnant the growth will slow down.

DisplacedGuy Adsense Statistics Through June 2012

I just wrote an article about how visitor browser was an indicator as the which of my sites would be more profitable.   Which visitor browser do you think had the highest correlation between Adsense earnings potential (as measured by RPM)?   Check the article Adsense High Revenue Site vs Low Revenue site by Visitor Browser for the answer… let me know what your guess was.

This report covering the period from website start (around March 2010) and current (May 31, 2012) shows steady visitor growth with some peaks and valleys associated with periods of effort by me or lack of effort by me.  Bounce rate is still respectably low considering  programming is my gift, not writing!  I tried making a sales pitch to Sybase to put a banner on the page, but they didn’t even respond to my email which I put a lot of thought into.  It was disappointing so I’ve been leaning towards WaveMaker more and more.  I’ve got a recent WaveMaker write up on this blog, you should take a look if you are looking for a PowerBuilder replacement.

See how my best blog has a very respectable Adsense RPM of $8.30, compared to DisplacedGuy blog running a dismal $0.52 RPM!
